  • Morning sightseeing tour of Bucharest including: Manuc’s Inn, Stavropoleos Church , Palace of Parliament, and the Village Museum
  • Drive to Sighisoara via medieval Brasov
  • Overnight in 3* historic hotel in Sighisoara
 
Sun, April 04: Sighisoara (B, L)
  • Sightseeing tour of Sighisoara, the best preserved medieval citadel and the only inhabited one in Europe: Clock Tower ( History Museum ), Wooden Covered Staircase, Venetian House, Church on the Hill, Vlad Dracul House
  • Visit the UNESCO-listed 16th century Biertan fortified church
  • Drive to Sibiu, once an important stronghold for Saxon merchants.  Tour the mediaeval parts of the city: Small and Large Squares, Evangelic Cathedral, Brukenthal Palace , Stairs Passage, Council Tower , Liars’ Bridge, citadel walls and towers
  • Return to 3* hotel in Sighisoara
 
Mon, April 05: Sighisoara to Targu Mures, Cluj & Baia Mare (B, L, D)
  • Drive to Targu Mures, short panoramic tour of the city. If time permits, visit the Culture Palace
  • Drive to Cluj Napoca, short panoramic tour of the city. If time permits, visit the Banffy Palace (hosting the art museum)
  • Drive to Baia Mare, the capital of the Maramures region, famous for its crafts and rural traditions
  • Dinner and overnight stay in your 4* hotel in Baia Mare
 
Tue, April 06: Baia Mare to Gura Humorului (B, L)
  • Visit Stan Patras’ Merry Cemetery in Sapinta, with its brightly painted carved wooden crosses and humorous illustrations
  • Visit two wooden churches on Iza Valley, rich in rural traditions, with tiny villages and distinctive wooden churches
  • Drive to Gura Humorului via Prislop Pass

Thu, April 08: Brasov, Dracula Castle & Sinaia (B, L)
  • Sightseeing tour of 14th century city of Brasov: Black Church, Old City Hall Square, Schei District (St. Nicholas Church and the Museum of the first Romanian school)
  • Visit Bran Castle; often referred to as ‘Dracula’s Castle’.  Built in 1378 as a toll station it has a dramatic fairy tale appearance, but little connection with Vlad Tepes (Dracula)
  • Visit Peles Castle, the summer residence of Romania ’s royal family and Sinaia Monastery
  • Overnight in 4* hotel in Sinaia
 
Fri, April 09: The secrets of Snagov Island & Bucharest (B, L, D)
  • Drive to Bucharest
  • Visit Snagov Island; the monastery and where the legend says Vlad the Impaler's grave is to be found
  • Leisure time before dinner
  • Farewell dinner and live Dracula show at local restaurant in Bucharest (Count Dracula Club) and overnight in a 4* hotel
