Day 01 – Saturday: Evening departure from New York City (EWR/JFK), Boston, Washington, D.C.** (D)
Day 02 – Sunday: Arrival in and departure from your European gateway city connecting to your flight to Malta. You will be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel. Balance of day at leisure. (B, L)
Day 03 – Monday: After breakfast, enjoy a half-day Valletta City Tour, including a visit to the Upper Barracca Gardens overlooking the Grand Harbor, St. John’s Co-Cathedral and the Grand Master’s Palace. Lastly, enjoy the “Malta Experience,” a multi-vision show depicting Malta’s history throughout the ages. Afternoon at leisure to explore Malta, or to relax in the sun. (B)
Day 04 – Tuesday: After breakfast, experience a full day Mdina/Rabat Tour. Visit Mdina, Malta’s “silent city,” the cathedral and St. Catald’s Catacombs. After lunch continue with a visit to the Mosta Dome, San Anton Botanical Gardens, and Ta‘ Qali Crafts Village. (B, L)
Day 05 – Wednesday: After breakfast, enjoy a sensational half-day Harbor Cruise sailing in a pleasure boat through the Grand Harbor and Marsamxett Harbor, with a running commentary on the history of Malta, and excellent photo opportunities. Balance of the day at leisure. (B)
Day 06 – Thursday: After breakfast have a full day at leisure, or select an excursion to Sicily, a helicopter sightseeing tour, a Malta or Gozo Jeep Safari, or a cruise around the islands. See the optional excursion list. (B)
Day 07 – Friday: After breakfast enjoy a full day Blue Grotto and Temples Tour. Proceed through the southern fishing villages of Marsaxlokk and Birzebbuga then on to the fabled Blue Grotto*. After lunch, visit the Tarxien Temples and the prehistoric caves of Ghar Dalam, where the earliest inhabitants of this island resided. (*Boat trip is paid locally) (B, L)
Day 08 – Saturday: After breakfast, enjoy a full day Gozo Tour. Your tour includes a 25 - minute ferry crossing to Malta’s sister island of Gozo, with wonderful photo opportunities along the way. A visit to the Ggantija Prehistoric Temples, The Citadel in Victoria, Xlendi Bay and Calypso’s Cave are all part of your tour. After lunch, enjoy time for shopping in the local markets. (B, L)
Day 09 – Sunday: Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to Malta International Airport for your flight home. (B, L) ** Other departure cities available upon request
