Sicilian Flavors - Winter Gastronomic Tour #1

Mondays, Fridays and Sundays, through March 31st.

Depart Malta at 7 AM, return to Malta at 9 PM.

Itinerary

• Arrival in Modicia, a "World Heritage Site" by UNESCO. Visit to the famous Rizza Chocolate Laboratory and other sites.
• Departure for lunch with the Sicilians in an old farmhouse. We cook some typical local dishes followed by lunch with the family. A unique experience of Sicilian tastes and traditions.
• Departure for Pianogrillo (hamlet within the Chiaramonte Gulf). Oil tasting of the Iblei DOP with a visit to an ancient oil mill.
• Departure for Poggio di Bortolone establishment for wine tasting of two prestigious wines that have won awards world-wide (Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG and Nero D'Avola IGT).
• Arrival in Ragusa, world famous for its Sicilian Baroque architecture, now a UNESCO "World Heritage Site." Tasting of typical local sweets at the Dipaquale Confectionary and a visit to the Cathedral.
• Transfer to Ragusa Ibla's historical City Center for free time.
